Cora McHugh

School of Life Sciences
University Staff

Cora graduated from Barrett, The Honors College in 2015 with a BS in Biological Sciences (Conservation Biology and Ecology), a minor in Art History, and a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Her favorite aspect of her time at ASU was her involvment in undergraduate research for several years, which culminated in an honors thesis investigating the effects of a fungicide on honeybees.

After graduating, she moved to Vietnam where she taught English to primary school students, traveled Southeast Asia, and added to her bird list. Her time in Vietnam sparked an interest in women's empowerment through land rights as a driver for poverty reduction and natural resource conservation. She hopes to attend law school in the fall of 2019.

She very much enjoys reading, hanging out with her cat Susie, spending time outside, documenting and collecting, and baking.
