26th Annual Undergraduate Research Poster Symposium

The School of Life Sciences presents its 26th Annual “Undergraduate Research Poster Symposium” on Friday, March 29, 2019. All undergraduates conducting research in life sciences are invited to attend and present a poster.

The symposium is funded by the School of Life Sciences Undergraduate Research (SOLUR) Program and the School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University.

Participant information

Submit abstract information online by March 1, 2019 at 5:00PM.

1. Get approval

Before you submit abstract information, get faculty mentor approval of your:

  • Poster title
  • Authors and affiliations
  • Abstract

2. Gather this information

  • Your name, department, email, and program (use your ASU email)
  • Faculty mentor name and email address
  • Title of your poster
  • Authors and their affiliations
  • Abstract text

3. Submit your abstract information

Use this online form to submit your abstract information by 5 p.m., March 1, 2019.

When you submit a complete form, you and your faculty mentor will receive a confirmation email.

If you make an error on the form, do not submit a second form. Instead, send an email to SOLSUGResearch@asu.edu. Write ABSTRACT ERROR in the subject line and let us know specifically what needs to be corrected.

Note: All abstracts will be posted on the School of Life Sciences website unless otherwise indicated. Changes to poster information received after the due date may not be reflected on the school website or in the abstract booklet.

Posters

Due: March 8, 2019

Poster size

The maximum poster size is 29 inches wide by 40 inches long, portrait (taller than it is wide) orientation. Display space is limited and posters wider than 29 inches may not be used.

Poster printing

SOLUR participants

The cost of creating one test print and one poster print is covered for SOLUR Fellows, Researchers and Apprentices. If you find an error and would like to reprint your poster, you are required to pay for it.

To begin the printing process with the SOLS VisLab, complete the poster submission form.
If your poster and poster form are received after March 8, 2019, the VisLab may try to print your poster by the symposium date, but there is no guarantee.

Non-SOLUR participants

Please check with your program coordinator or mentor and ask who will cover the cost of printing your poster.

To use the SOLS VisLab, fill out a work order form. It must be signed by your mentor and include a valid ASU account number. If you are not using an account number, indicate on the work order form that the payment will be cash or check. The poster file may be emailed to solsvl@asu.edu or brought to LSE B61 on a flash drive. Please note, VisLab does not accept debit or credit cards at this time.

Other participants

If you use a facility other than the SOLS Visualization Lab to print your poster, check that vendor’s printing times and requirements far in advance.
